Eddie Scott

Eddie is a Solicitor with the firm and holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1985.

Eddie has more than 25 years experience in advising and assisting clients in the areas of deceased estates, estate planning, trusts and estate disputes.

Deceased Estates

Eddie advises and acts in all aspects of probate, intestacies and estate administration.

Estate Planning

Eddie can assist with wills (including ongoing trusts), control of family trusts and structures, superannuation death benefits, international estate planning, powers of attorney and appointments of guardians.

Trusts

Eddie has significant expertise in the establishment of family trusts and other types of trusts, adminstration of will trusts and family trusts, changes to trustees and distributions.

Estate Disputes

Contested wills (disputes over administration, interpretation or assets), attorney disputes (including misappropriation and inappropriate management) and elders’ issues (such as loss of capacity, guardianship and care options) are areas in which Eddie is highly experienced.

Eddie is a member of the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and an Associate Member of the Taxation Institute of Australia.
